TWO COLONIES / ONE FOOD SUPPLY

ONE FIELD.
ONLY ONE WINNER?

Green: nearest-patch guidance.
Orange: rotating-target guidance.
128 agents each. 900 food. 90 seconds.

DISASTER MODE

BREAK THE BALANCE.

Intervene during a match. Flood the north edge, destroy the richest remaining patch, or split the field with a wall.

No disasters yet. Rematch clears all interventions.

Disasters use scripted simulation rules: flood currents push agents toward dry ground; a wall blocks crossings with passages at both ends. No flies are killed. Escaped counts unique exposed flies that reached dry ground at least once. Delivery pace measures the last 10 simulated seconds, not a prediction. Rematches reset interventions; downloads include their timings.

Both colonies use the same movement rules with mirrored starting positions and headings. They share food but have separate signal fields. Guidance strategies differ; each has the same 12-action budget. Update order alternates each step to reduce consistent first-mover advantage.

Winner is determined by food delivered home at the deadline, not food still being carried. Territory measures visited grid cells, not ownership. This local simulation is not a learned competition or proof one strategy is generally better. Compare multiple seeds; positions may still affect outcomes.
